[Beijing, March 2026] Over the past two months, the 500-ton DAC (Direct Air Capture) pilot plant independently developed by GeCarbon Harmony (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. has completed its full-process operational testing in Haidian District, Beijing, with all technical indicators meeting or exceeding design expectations, ranking at the leading level in the industry.
This marks an exciting and significant breakthrough for the company in the commercial application of Direct Air Capture technology.
The 500-ton DAC pilot plant adopts an advanced modular design concept, featuring a compact layout, rapid start-stop capability, and flexible load regulation, enabling it to adapt to carbon capture needs in different scenarios.
Operational data shows that the plant's CO₂ capture volume is stable and meets targets, product gas purity is high, and key equipment and intelligent instrumentation are functioning well. Key indicators are competitive compared to international counterparts.
"The success of this pilot test validates the feasibility of scaling GeCarbon Harmony's DAC technology from laboratory scale to engineering applications," said Lyu Jian, the project's engineering lead. "The effective deployment of the intelligent monitoring system ensures that the plant's operational convenience, safety, and maintenance efficiency meet commercial operation requirements, laying a solid technical, design, product, and engineering foundation for subsequent large-scale commercial deployment and promotion."
